What is a good ecommerce conversion rate?

Many online stores convert between 1% and 3% of visitors, but it varies a lot by industry, price point and traffic source. Returning visitors and email traffic usually convert far better than cold social traffic.

How to improve conversion rate

Speed up your site, show clear prices and shipping costs early, add trust signals like reviews and returns info, simplify checkout, and make product photos and descriptions answer buyers' questions.
