MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)
MOQ is the smallest number of units a supplier will accept in a single order.
Suppliers set MOQs to cover setup and production costs. For buyers, a high MOQ ties up cash and storage space and increases the risk of unsold stock.
MOQs are often negotiable, especially for a first order, mixed variants or a slightly higher unit price.
Example
A supplier's MOQ is 1,000 units at 4 each, so the first order needs 4,000 in cash. At 150 sales a month, it lasts almost 7 months.
